65 427 S/C ROADSTER PROJECT

Here is progress of this week:

Body

with matching hood, extended deck under scoop, and SRP's bonded hinge.

Needs cure time, color sand, and final coats of clear. 

Street Rod Painter, the master at his craft.

Received body April 19, 2003  Note SRP Hinge with 3/4" round tube hoop ala CSX style.

Paint is "Superperformance Royal Blue"  Here are the tech specs:

SPF Royal Blue.......I just found the can of paint that Ken gave me for touch up.

Dupont Chromabase B/C

Car: Rolls Royce Year: 1998

Code: 9540022

Color: Royal Blue PRL B/C Metallic/Iridescent Content> 5 grams/litre Valueshade #7

All of the information for the paint right off the can.....Good Luck on the construction process. If I were you get the paint in a small pint version and do a test of the color with a clear coat on a separate flat piece of scrap then decide if it too light....too dark.....too Blue...not blue enough......too hot......too cold or just right before you have Ken splash it on the car.

Off the trailer from SRP 4/20/03 on a dark, overcast day.

Safe at home, ready for trim & completion of wiring and dash board.

Sun came out for a few minutes today 4-24-03

Well, after 5 seasons of road rash, Ken Pike aka StreetRodPainter refinished the front half of the car, forward of the rear fenders.  Added clear "armor Guard" to protect the finish below the headlights and the front of the rear fenders.

Still need to add back the headlight rims, front hoop, over-riders, etc.
