May 10, 2003 Optima battery installed:
Note plus post for thru-trunk connection ahead of battery. Also, negative on sidewall. EEC-IV & coil mounted under dash:

State of Oregon plate received today 5/10/03:
Almost ready! 5/12 & 13 Worked on the following: Completed battery cables, connected dash to car wires, added fluids, oil primed the engine, blocked off the EGR valve hole, installed 93 O2 sensors, routed temperature gauge capillary, installed trunk prop, replaced trunk aluminum panel small tabs, added gas tank filler neck, installed the remote oil filter, and coupled upper radiator hose using shrink tube fittings. Tested the wiring harness: fuel pump always on...Ed Railey is helping fix the 3rd party's mistake. 5/14: ENGINE STARTED!!! (runs fine)

Big thanks to Ed Railey who found a wiring error- had to hot wire EEC computer
and a fuel line error- had to reverse feed and return lines.
