August 30, 2003Met at 9:00 Shell Station at Tualatin Exit 289 on I-5 Then headed over to Hwy 26 and toward Seaside Beach. Cars attending Aug 30 Beach Run - Roll Call: Stopped at a rest area: 6 roadsters total. Then went to Seaside. The weather was cold and overcast. Proceeded on to Astoria: Bob Meyer's black beauty in the foreground. Stopped for lunch at this restaurant. Jay Arvidson's nice 427 car in foreground. Then back to Portland via Hwy 30. Temp was hot! No mechanical issues with any car. 3850 achieved 24.6 mpg on that tank of gas. (281 miles/11.42 gal) Tank holds 16 gallons total. (393 miles theoretical range) And a good time was had by all.
